Beginning with the 1970 season, the team that won the previous Super Bowl was designated as “the man,” or at least had the first crack at becoming “the man.” The winner between the Super Bowl Champ and their first regular season opponent following the Super Bowl becomes the BattleReign Champ. The BRC is then defended at each subsequent regular season game.
So there you have it, BattleReign in a nutshell. A team must be lucky to find the champs on their schedule, but they must also possess the prowess to capture the crown when given the opportunity.
