Historical Standings

BattleReign Championships began with the 1970 season, after the merger of the AFL and NFL. The first official BattleReign game, in retrospect, took place on September 20th, 1970 (Kansas City Chiefs @ Minnesota Vikings).

The Super Bowl champion does not officially become the BattleReign champion if they do not win the first game of the season.

A team does not carry their BattleReign championships with them if they change locations.

For example, the Houston Oilers championships are not counted into the Tennessee Titans total. The Los Angeles Raiders championships are counted separately from the Oakland Raiders, however both incarnations of the Oakland Raiders are counted as one. Both incarnations of the Cleveland Browns are also counted as one.
